“IMPOSTER” - Alternate Edition (Framed)

IMPOSTER: explores the internal battle between having a dream and believing you are capable of pursuing it.

For me, the biggest obstacle wasn't always the outside world. At times, it was myself. Self-doubt, overthinking, fear of failure, and the constant feeling that I wasn't ready created a cycle of hesitation that delayed my progress as an artist and creative.

The figure sitting beneath the D'Vanqu forms represents that feeling of being stuck in your own head. The tools and scattered objects surrounding them represent ideas, opportunities, and pieces of creativity that are within reach, yet remain untouched. The bold white D'Vanqu logo above serves as a reminder of the vision that continues to exist even when I struggle to move toward it.

"IMPOSTER" speaks to the moments when you question whether you belong in the space you're trying to enter. You compare yourself to people who seem further ahead, convince yourself you need more time, or wait until you feel "good enough" before allowing yourself to take the next step.

But sometimes, what feels like an imposter isn't someone pretending to be an artist.

It's the version of yourself that keeps convincing you not to become one.

Within the "IMPERFECT" collection, "IMPOSTER" represents confronting the self-sabotage that delayed my dream and recognizing that I can't keep waiting for confidence to come before I start moving.
